About us

Confessions is a social space built for the things people find hard to say out loud: thoughts, feelings, experiences, situations, and confessions. The idea is simple — give you room to write more freely, away from quick judgement, while keeping clear rules that prevent abuse, defamation, and violations of other people's privacy.

We do not claim that everything posted here is verified fact, or that any single confession shows the whole picture. What we believe is that people sometimes need a place to put down what is inside them, to share an experience that shaped them, or to write a feeling that has nowhere else to go.

Where the idea came from

Confessions started from a small but real need: many people carry stories they never tell, questions they never ask, and feelings they hide out of fear of being judged, mocked, or misunderstood. Some of those confessions are light and passing. Some are deep and heavy. Some are just venting, or an ordinary moment from an ordinary day.

The platform does not ask you to be perfect, or to write formally. What matters is that what you write is honest and responsible, and that it does not become a tool for hurting others, exposing their secrets, or attacking them.

What we offer

The platform gives you a place to publish confessions, read other people's experiences, take part through comments, save content, follow discussions, and use the social features — accounts, messages, and rooms — as they are available on the platform.

We try to keep the experience simple and clear, so your attention stays on the writing rather than on the interface. The platform is developed continuously to improve ease of use, browsing speed, page structure, and the clarity of the tools for posting, reacting, and reporting.

What "confession" means here

A confession here does not have to be legal, dangerous, or shocking. It can be a private thought, a regret, a fear, an embarrassing moment, something from a relationship, a personal question, a feeling you have kept quiet, or even a small observation about life.

We treat confessions as varied human writing, not as evidence or established fact. So read with awareness, and remember that what is published speaks for its author alone.

A space to speak, not a free-for-all

Freedom of expression here does not mean everything is allowed. We welcome honesty, but not defamation. We welcome venting, but not threats or blackmail. We welcome discussion, but not hatred, incitement, or breaches of privacy.

That is why there are community rules, terms of use, and clear policies covering how you post and interact. The point is not to restrict people for no reason, but to keep this space from turning into somewhere harmful or dangerous.

Our position on what is published

The content on Confessions is created by its users and expresses their own opinions, experiences, and feelings. The platform does not adopt that content, does not confirm that it is true, and is not responsible for the claims, details, or interpretations it contains.

The team may review, remove, or restrict content where there is a clear violation, a credible report, or a risk to users or to the platform. Even so, we cannot guarantee that every piece of content is reviewed before it appears, or that every violation is caught immediately.

Safety and privacy

We try, as far as we can, to build an experience that respects your privacy. At the same time we always say plainly that the internet is not a place of absolute secrecy. Anything published can be copied, screenshotted, or passed around by other people, outside the platform's control.

So we encourage you not to post real names, phone numbers, addresses, private photos, workplaces, or any detail that could identify you or someone else. Privacy starts with your own awareness, before any technical setting.

Reporting and review

The platform provides tools for reporting content, accounts, messages, and behaviour that break the rules. These tools help us find problems and deal with them, especially where there is abuse, defamation, a threat, personal information, or a breach of the community rules.

Reports are handled according to the nature of the case and the information available, and a report may lead to content being removed, an account being restricted, or another appropriate action. In return, we do not allow reports to be used maliciously or as revenge against other users.

Who this is for

This platform is for anyone who wants to read or share human, social writing — confessions, venting, or personal experience — as long as they follow the rules and respect other people. You may find a space to express yourself here, a chance to understand feelings and experiences different from your own, or simply somewhere to read what people write honestly.

The platform is not a substitute for psychological, legal, medical, or professional advice. If you are going through a real crisis or facing a serious problem, the better step is to ask for help from someone you trust, a qualified professional, or an appropriate official body.

What we refuse

We refuse the use of this platform for defamation, settling scores, spreading rumours, threatening people, blackmailing them, exposing their private information, or inciting against them. We also refuse content that incites hatred, violence, or harm, or that preys on other people's vulnerability.

Any account or content that uses the platform in a way that harms the community, breaks the law, or goes beyond the platform's rules may be removed, restricted, or suspended at the team's discretion.

What we are aiming for

We want to build a platform that is different in character: candid, simple, close to people, but not chaotic. We want you to feel that you can write freely, and at the same time know that there are limits protecting you and protecting everyone else from abuse.

Whether this works does not depend only on the team or the technology. It depends on the people using it. Every responsible confession, every respectful comment, and every honest report makes the community better.

How the platform develops

Confessions is developed continuously to improve performance, the experience of using it, the protection tools, the reporting systems, the account pages, the ways of interacting, and how content is organised. Features may be added or changed according to what people need and how the platform is actually used.

Our aim is for it to stay clear and easy to use, and for every feature to serve the experience rather than complicate it. So the focus stays on simplicity, speed, readability, and respecting your privacy as far as possible.

One last thing

Confessions is not just a place to post anonymous words. It is a space that reflects a side of human experience people live through and do not always talk about. You may find a confession that sounds like you, a story nothing like yours, or a feeling you never knew how to describe.

Everyone who takes part respectfully, reads with awareness, and interacts without abuse is welcome here. This space grows and gets better when the community knows how to balance honesty with responsibility.
